Privacy Policy

Fazo English helps speakers of Tajik, Russian, Uzbek, Kazakh and Kyrgyz learn English. We respect your privacy and collect only the data needed to run the app. This document explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it.

1. What we collect

  • Account: your name, email and avatar — when you sign in with a third-party account or register by email.
  • Learning progress: words you add, your study and review stages (spaced repetition), XP points, day-streaks and league standings.
  • AI Tutor: the text of your messages to the chat tutor, processed by a third-party AI service to generate a reply.
  • Technical data: device model, app version, IP address and a notification token (when you allow push notifications).
  • Advertising and analytics: your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS), approximate region, and anonymous usage events — used to show and measure ads and to understand how the app is used.

2. How we use your data

  • Provide the app and sync your learning across devices.
  • Save your progress, statistics and league position.
  • Answer in the AI chat and improve your learning experience.
  • Send notifications and news, only with your consent.
  • Keep the service secure and reliable.

3. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data. To run the app we rely on trusted service providers (account sign-in, AI reply generation, content delivery, email). They process data only on our instructions and never for their own purposes.

4. Advertising

Fazo English is free to use and is supported by advertising. Ads are served by Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, mobile advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS) and similar technologies to serve, target and measure ads, including personalised ads based on your interests.

How Google uses this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we ask for your consent before serving personalised ads and you can change that choice at any time in the app.

We also use Google Analytics for Firebase to count anonymous usage events (screens opened, lessons finished) so we can improve the app. An optional Premium subscription removes all advertising.

5. Data storage

Your data is stored on secured servers. We use encrypted connections and safeguards against unauthorized access. We keep your progress for as long as your account exists.

6. Your rights

You can request access to your data, correct it, or fully delete your account and all related data. Just email us at [email protected] and we will handle your request.

7. Children

The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from such users.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will note significant changes in the app and update the date at the top of this document.
